Jamie Freveletti is a trial lawyer, published author, runner, and martial artist. She began her writing career at age eleven, when her poem was accepted for publication in an anthology of poetry compiled in conjunction with the “Carol Burnett Show.”After attending law school she lived in Geneva, Switzerland while obtaining a diploma in International Studies. She returned to Chicago, where she represented international clients in areas ranging from fraud and white collar crime, to pharmaceutical, medical device, and securities violations. She published articles in trade magazines and a law review before turning to write her favorite form of fiction: thrillers and mysteries.

She is an avid runner and practitioner of Aikido, a Japanese martial art. She has crewed for an elite ultra-marathon runner at 50 mile, 100 mile, and twenty-four hour races across the country, and both practices and teaches Aikido. She is married with two children and continues to travel the world. She lives in Chicago.
